From the Desk of Ayodele – Aug 2022

As Summer 2022 begins to come to a close, I am excited that cooler temperatures are on the way and the BMEsTalk Incubator is set to launch. Our Incubator is a 10-month facilitative leadership certificate program, designed to engage Black Male Educators in a very intentional “community of practice”.  

What is a community of practice (CoP)? Some describe it as a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals.   A key element of the Incubator is that our group of BMEs will participate in monthly Breakthrough Coaching Sessions where we will deepen our understanding and practice of, among other things, emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership skills.
