LEADERSHIP

Ayodele Harrison,
Director

Former Engineer and Math Educator, with over 20 years experience teaching and leading in public, private and international schools. After 16 years as a classroom teacher, Ayodele quit because his desire to continue growing as a teacher-leader went un-nurtured. With the encouragement and support of his wife, Natasha, he launched into the world of educational consulting. Since then, Ayodele has been reflecting on his personal assumptions, beliefs and behaviors and cultivating the knowledge, practices and tools to lead with greater authenticity. Now, more than ever, Ayodele is connected to and understands his personal narrative so that he can help others understand who he is, not who the world thinks he is. As a result, today, Ayodele is creating and curating professional learning communities where educators explore, discover and examine culturally responsive and sustaining leadership tools and skills. Ayodele is committed to transforming the ways Black Male Educators support and develop Black Male Educators. Ayodele is from Seattle, Washington. He is a proud son of Rev. Gbolahan Harrison and Ms. Joy Harrison. He holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Howard University and University of California, Berkeley, respectively. Ayodele is married to Natasha and has beautifully, brilliant children, Ajani and Ifetayo
