About BMEsTalk

Who We Are

Black Male Educators Talk (BMEsTalk) is a charitable initiative of CommunityBuild Ventures (CBV) and fiscally sponsored by Nafasi Fund. BMEsTalk’s mission is to create and curate safe, rich spaces for Black Male Educators to connect, grow and lead.

We are committed to creating dynamic leadership development experiences that:

  • Support Black men across a wide spectrum of roles, including teachers, principals, student support staff, district administrators, leaders of educator- and youth-serving nonprofits, and educational consultants.

  • Nurture the “WHOLE Black Man” - intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. BMEsTalk uniquely engages Black men from across the diaspora, including those who self-identify as multiracial and/or nonbinary.

  • Equip Black men with the supportive community, tools and resources to increase joy, improve the quality of their professional experiences, and thrive within their professions.
